Alan Deeter, Account Director
In his 17 year career, Alan has helped more than 60 companies attain category leadership by building meaningful brand relationships with their customers. Along the way, Alan has earned a reputation for maximizing the value of his client’s marketing investment. He learned early on that there is literally no end to ways in which a company can spend marketing dollars. Thus he sees his job as ensuring his clients spend on the ways that will best achieve their business goals. It’s this results-oriented mindset that helped his previous company become Interactive Agency of Record for Microsoft Corporation.
On the other end of the spectrum, Alan is an in-demand expert in launching new products into new markets. As a brand and campaign planner, Alan helped create many recognizable brands from scratch, including Match.com, NetBank, and BlumLux. He helped position numerous companies for acquisition or IPO, including IQ Software, Xcellenet/Sybase, Documentum/EMC, Brio/Hyperion, and AvData/ITC-Deltacom. During 1998 and 1999, Alan was retained by the Ireland Development Board to develop strategies for Ireland-based corporations seeking to break into the US marketplace.
Today Alan’s focus is almost exclusively on the Web. He sees the opportunity of reaching consumers when they need a brand most and then creating a mutually-beneficial interaction with them as the essence of marketing.
Alan received degrees in English and Education from the University of Tennessee and is a certified secondary school teacher — a profession he looks forward to returning to.
