Spur Digital was formed to help companies leverage the Internet to achieve their business objectives through innovative online marketing strategies and managed applications. Our solution-based approach is based on the following findings:

The Internet has become a strategic channel for most companies and is heavily relied upon for:

  • Promoting products and services
  • Lead generation
  • Delivery of services
  • Customer service
  • Corporate Marketing
  • Communicating with customers, employees, shareholders and partners

Despite the importance of the Internet, few companies have a Web Strategy that:

  • Defines their e-business objectives
  • Provides a roadmap for achieving them
  • Quantifies the expected results (Revenue, ROI)
  • Has metrics for measuring results

Consequently, most companies are unable to track, measure, or quantify the results from their online initiatives. This “gap” between traditional and online business practices is due to several factors:

  • Lack of resources and capacity.
    • Business people today are overwhelmed, understaffed and short on resources. Most are focusing on near term probems vs. strategic opportunities.
  • Lack of expertise.
    • Effective e-business planning, implementation and management requires expertise in Strategic Planning, Online Marketing, Enabling Technologies and Financial Metrics. Few organizations have these skill sets available to allocate to e-business issues.
  • Shared responsibilities.
    • E-Business ownership is often shared by the Marketing and IT departments. As with other initiatives, shared responsibility often leads to ineffective execution.
  • Lack of budget.
    • After the spending binge in the late 1990s, companies are now taking a conservative approach to investing in e-business.
    • Customers are now investing in leverageable, tactical solutions that offer compelling, near term results while laying the groundwork for longer term growth..

Based on these findings, we’ve identified a need for online marketing solutions that:

  • Solve immediate problems for Marketing and E-Business managers
  • Lead to incremental revenue, savings, customer loyalty and/or brand awareness that can be tracked and measured
  • Are cost effective and have low administrative overhead
  • Provide a compelling ROI and a near term payback
